However, there is something you can do to cancel Walmart order.

Walmart works with time and delivers ordered product in time. This means that the moment you clicked on the “order” button, Walmart will begin the process of the product and how to ship it.

While the product will not be immediately shipped it will undergo the processing such as packaging the product to the delivery unit, location identification, and many more.

The product will en route to the destination immediately the packing and other processing are completed. However, when all these are done before you decided to cancel the product from shipping to the address provided it may be too late. 

Cancel UnShipped Walmart Product

This is the grace period you have. But only a few shoppers enjoy the “product cancellation”. However, if the product is yet to be shipped you can still request for the ordered product to be cancelled.

  • Sign in to your Walmart Account.
  • Find the “Name” of the product you want to cancel on your profile page.
  • Click on the “Cancellation Request” to the bottom of the ordered product.
  • If the order is cancelled you will receive a cancellation email confirm the step.

Meanwhile, whether you use the Walmart contact button or “Request cancellation” it doesn’t guarantee that your request will be granted.

The above procedures only work when the product has not been shipped. And if it’s has been shipped the only option left is to return the product and request for a refund.

How to Return Walmart Products

Good enough, there are two ways to return Walmart products and request for the refund of your money. The approaches work better it depends on how you want it to be returned.

  • Walmart products can be returned by Mail.
  • You can return to the store.

Here is the step by step approach for each of the steps above.

Return Walmart Product in Store

If you know the Walmart mail you can return products that don’t fit into your need within the return grace period.

  • Go to Walmart.com home page and log into your account.
  • Find the item (s) you want to return under purchase history.
  • Select “Start a return or see details”.
  • If the product is eligible for a return you will see a return or replace then click on return.
  • Select the item you want to return.
  • Select the reason why you want to return the item from the list.
  • Select the return from “return or replace” option.
  • Select “Return to store”.
  • Click “Finish”.
  • To print the “store return receipt” select “print barcode”.
  • Bring the item and all its accessories including the return receipt you printed to the nearest local Walmart customer service to process and return the item for a full refund.

Return Walmart.com Product by Mail

You may be charged for using the option because you will be shipping the product from your location to Walmart office yourself.

  • Go to Walmart.com home page and log into your account.
  • Find the item (s) you want to return under purchase history.
  • Select “Start a return or see details”.
  • If the product is eligible for a return you will see a return or replace then click on return.
  • Select the item you want to return.
  • Select the reason why you want to return the item from the list.
  • Select the return from “return or replace” option.
  • Select “return by mail”.
  • Click “Finish”.
  • To print the “store return receipt” select “print barcode”.
  • Package the products and all its accessories including the return receipt you printed and take it to either FedEx or USPS location to return it to Walmart address.
  • Wait for 2 – 3 weeks before the package will be delivered to Walmart since it’s by mail.

Once the product is received as collected from the merchant your fund will be refunded back to your account.
