How to Tell If Someone Unadded You on Snapchat
Snapchat is not going to notify you when someone unadded you to respect the privacy of the user who took the action. However, it’s up to you to find out whether someone is no longer your friend. So, if you want to check whether some of your friends on Snapchat are unfriending you; you should take the following steps.
Check your Friend List
If you are keen to know if someone unadded you on Snapchat you can check your friends list to see who is no longer your friend.
- Open the “Snapchat” app on your phone [Android or iPhone].
- You may need to log into your Snapchat account if you haven’t done that.
- Tap on your “Profile” icon at the top right.
- Scroll down and click on “My Friends.”
- Tap on the “Search” box and search for the name of your Snapchat friend you feel has unadded you.
If the name is on the list it means that the person has not unfriended and if it’s not then it could be that the person has unfriended you.
Check your Chat History or Send a Snap
You can check your chat history to see if the person was online a few hours ago or send a snap to see whether it’ll deliver or it will remain pending. The status of the message will give you an idea of whether you have been unfriended or not.

- Go to your Snapchat story by tapping on the button on the navigation.
- Look for the suspected friend’s recent story.
- If their story appears on “Following” it could mean that the friend has unfriended you.
Try to Add the Person on Snapchat
If you are a friend of someone on Snapchat the person will not appear on your “Add Friend” list when you search it. So, a quick way to confirm that someone who was your friend is no longer your friend you will be able to add them as your friend again.
- Open the “Snapchat” app and log into your account.
- Tap on the “Profile” picture at the top right.
- Scroll down to “Friends” and tap “Add Friends.”
- Scroll down to “Quick Add” and search for the friend’s name.
- Tap “Add.”
If the friend is available on the list then it implies that the friend has removed you.
Check for the Voice and Video Call Option
Snapchat has both voice and video call options that you will have access to when you are a friend of someone on the platform. However, if the Snapchat user is no longer your friend these features will not be available when you check it.
- Tap on the “Chat” tab in the navigation.
- Locate the friend you think has unadded you and click on it.
- Check whether the voice and video call logo is visible at the top right.
- If it is not visible it means that the person has removed or unadded you.
