- Go to Windows 7 Control Panel
- Double-click on the “Windows Defender” tab
- Click on Administrator

How to Disable Windows 8/8.1 (Windows) Defender
This is the easiest and fastest way to disable Windows 8 (Windows) Defender.
- Press “Win + R” to open the “Run” box
- Type ” services.msc” into the column
- Click on the “OK”
- Right-click on “Windows Defender Service”
- Click on the “Properties”
- Tap on the “General” button
- Click on the “Startup type” drop menu
- Select “Disable” from the options
- Click on “Apply”
- Tap on “OK”
- Restart your PC

Disable Windows 10 [Windows] Defender
Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 have almost a similar way to disable Windows Defender. Here is what to do to turn off the Windows Defender in Windows 10.
- Go to Windows 10 settings
- Tap on the Update & Security
- Click on Windows Defender tab
- Tap “Turn Off” to disable real-time protection.
- Restart the PC
This is probably the easiest. Irrespective of the Windows OS you are running on your computer you can always turn of the Windows Defender for a 3rd party security software.
