If your Frigidaire dishwasher displays error codes i50, i60, and iC0 this refers to system failure.  There are varieties of different Frigidaire error codes that start with the “i” and they all indicate that something is wrong with your dishwasher overall system.

If any of these error code i50, i60, and iC0 pop up then resetting the power of your dishwasher usually alleviates these issues.

However other “i” related errors include i10, i20, i30, i40, and iF0, they all pertain to leakages and drainage-related issues, which can be fixed by checking the drainage hose for leakages.

Some other errors that could be displayed on your Frigidaire dishwashers are UF, ER, CE, and CL which are all related to wiring issues.

Codes such as UF, ER, CL, and CE (or Vent Open, Stuck Key, Close Door, and Configuration Error, respectively) all mean that something is wrong with your wiring system.  However, before consulting an electrician, check to see if resetting your machine resolves this issue.

  • VP (Vent Open)-While in a wash cycle, the main control board does not receive a signal from the vent assembly, that the vent plunger is closed. However, check the wiring between the vent assembly and the main control board.
  • Uf (Fan not running) – while in drying cycle, main control board not sensing vent fan motor rotation at the correct speed. Check the wiring between vent assembly and main control board
  • ER (membrane switch failure) – Main control board has detected a stuck key or a key pressed for more than one minute. Check the connection from the keypad to the main control board.
  • CE ( Configuration Error) – Check the wiring connection between the keypad to the main control board.
  •  CL (Close Door – Door switch open) – Main control board not sensing door closed. check door switches.
  • DP (Drain Pump) – Displayed in relay test when the drain pump is activated.
  • FL (Water Valve is Open) – Displayed in relay test when the water valve is activated.
  • PF (Power Failure) – A power failure has occurred when more than 10% of power has dropped to the unit, however, check house wiring.
  • Hall Sensor (hs) – The control has sensed an error with the hall sensor in the motor, check the wiring between the motor and main control board.
  • Rinse Aid (ra) – The control has sensed a problem with the reed switch in the dispenser. Refill the rinse aid dispenser.

Frigidaire Dishwasher Reset Pf

Frigidaire Dishwasher Reset Pf

When your Frigidaire dishwasher displays PF this refers to power failure. This error usually appears any time that the amount of power supplying the Frigidaire dishwasher drops or is cut out completely.

A power failure could be caused by a power outage and you don’t have to be alarmed when this particular code comes up.
However don’t confuse the PF error code with DP or FL, which refers to drain pump and water value issues.

Apart from displaying Pf which refers to power failure, your Frigidaire dishwasher could show other codes which we will talk about below.

Frigidaire Dishwasher Reset

  • To reset your Frigidaire dishwasher hold the cancel button for at least 3 seconds.
  • Find the cancel button on the far-right side of the control panel.
  • Make sure to hold this button down for 3 seconds or until the light display disappears or changes.

This is the fastest way to shut off your dishwasher without disconnecting the power.

Lingering lights don’t necessarily equal a mechanical issue within your dishwasher. If you’ve just washed a load of dishes, the green “clean” indicator light will stay on even after you open the door.

  • The next step is to wait 5 minutes before turning the dishwasher back on.
  • Keep the dishwasher off for several minutes before pressing the “start” button for 1-2 seconds.
  • On most Frigidaire dishwasher models, the “start” button is usually located on the upper half of the “cancel” button.
  • If the reset process is successful, then the error code will no longer be visible. While the start button can also be located on the right side of the control panel.
  • If turning the dishwasher off doesn’t work, then try to switch off the circuit breaker.
  • Find the circuit breaker that powers your Frigidaire dishwasher and turn it off for 5 minutes.
  • Disconnecting the power gives the dishwasher a few moments to recalibrate, and this can be more effective than simply turning the machine on and off.
  • Then return power to the dishwasher after about 5 minutes. Switch the circuit breaker back on and check the display on your dishwasher.
  • If the screen doesn’t display any error codes, try to run a test load with a few plastics or non-valuable dishes on a rinse-only cycle.
  • If it runs correctly, then you can use your Frigidaire dishwasher as normal.

Frigidaire Dishwasher not Starting

If your Frigidaire dishwasher is not starting then it could be from a system failure, power supply problem, or some manual problems.

If your power supply voltage drops from the required power voltage that is required to power the system then it won’t start. Take a quick check to rule out any problem with your power source.

Power Supply Problem

Make sure your Frigidaire dishwasher is plugged properly into an electric outlet.

For areas with low electric current, you can make use of a circuit breaker. Then confirm that the dishwasher’s circuit breaker is in the proper position.

Cross-check that the power switch to your dishwasher is turned on.

System Error

Another cause of your Frigidaire dishwasher not working could be a system error. You need to get familiar with how to properly operate your Frigidaire dishwasher.

If you forget to select a cycle or if you select a wrong cycle can lead to your Frigidaire dishwasher not starting. However as discussed earlier “i” related errors could either indicate a failure overall system, or errors related to leakages and drainage problems.

The final cause for your Frigidaire dishwasher not starting could be a broken door latch. Without the door latch, the door of your dishwasher won’t close properly and your dishwasher won’t start when its door is properly closed.

The dishwasher door prevents leaks and must be engaged for a wash cycle to start. However, if the latch won’t engage and it appears faulty, it will need to be replaced.
