- Choose “Hidden Number.”
The steps above are what to watch out for on your phone. This could vary due to your phone configuration.
When this option is enabled, all incoming calls will be blocked on your Android 9 and Android 10. Meanwhile, you will be able to call out, but no incoming calls will be allowed whether you are on call or not.
Disable Call Waiting to Block Caller ID
If you are not bothered about your network provider, tell the caller that you are busy on another call, disabling your phone call waiting will block caller ID from calling you when you are on call with another caller.
- Go to your phone call logs.
- Tap on (…) to the top right.
- Click on “Settings.”
- Scroll down and click on “More.”
- Disable “Call waiting.”
- Done.
If you are using a phone with a dual SIM, you must repeat this on both SIM to block incoming calls.
How to Block your Phone Number on iPhone
The procedures below will block your phone number on your iPhone until the action is reversed.
- Go to your iPhone phone app.
- Tap on “Phone.”
- Tap on “Show My Caller ID.”
- Toggle the option to disable it.

We confirmed the approach above, and it worked perfectly, However, with Verizon, you won’t be able to block your phone number on iPhone.
The only way to block caller ID or phone number on iPhone on Verizon is via the Verizon app or the official website.
How to Block iPhone Phone Number on Verizon App.
If you are ready to follow the Verizon way to block your phone number on your iPhone, proceed as shown below.
- Launch the “Verizon app” on your iPhone.
- Tap on the “Hamburger” to the left of the app screen.
- Tap “Manage” adjacent to the “Caller ID” you want to block
- Tap on “Controls.”
- Tap on “Adjust Service Blocks.”

How to Block Phone Number on Home Phone
If you are using a Landline as your home phone number, you cannot block your phone number on it. The only way to do that is to terminate your subscription. Other home phone service providers provide a do-it-yourself guide on their websites on how to block the home phone number.
VIOP services are offering this service to block phone numbers and caller ID on instruction. However, the procedures are not the same for a traditional landline. So, you may need to call their customer service for more information on how to block caller ID or your phone number on your home traditional landline.
Meanwhile, to unblock phone number is quick and easy, and there is no need to contact their customer service. All you need to do is to dial *82 followed by the phone 10 digits of the phone number and the number will be unblocked.
You will have to do this for all other phone numbers on your phone; otherwise, you will have to contact the customer care requesting for your phone number to be unblocked.
How to Block your Phone Number on any Available Phone
If it’s urgent to block your phone number and the time isn’t on your side, and your phone has dropped dead or out of your reach, you could also use any available phone to block your phone number.
So, what you need to do to block your phone number on any phone is to dial *67, followed by your caller ID as this will block your phone number on all phones, including home phones or landlines.
An attempt to call you will prove abortive and will either say the number is not available or see a private number whenever they try to call your phone number.
