The error message that you see on the app might be a result of caches on your phone. Literarily, you need to clear your phone caches or the app caches in particular, however, restarting your iPhone alone could solve the problem.

Here is how to restart your iPhone.

  1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

Clear TikTok app Caches

You may need to clear the stored caches on the TikTok app. This works like refreshing the app. But not as active as when you clear data on the app. However, if you do not store your TikTok password or you cannot remember it, and you are not ready to use the “TikTok password” reset feature use on clear caches.

  • Go to your iPhone settings.
  • Scroll down the settings page and click on “Clear History and Website Data”.
  • Click on “Clear History and Data” on the popup.
  • Done.

This will clear all the history and data stored on your iPhone, including the TikTok caches. After this, restart your iPhone following the steps shared above and launch the TikTok app. The server error on the TikTok app should be fixed if it’s as a result of excess caches.

Check your Internet Connection [Wi-Fi or Cellular]
