The eyesight of everyone isn’t the same. In other words, while some people would have no problem comfortably seeing the things on the display of their iPhone, we’d have people who wouldn’t be able to see things clearly. And if you’re one of those people who can’t see the display of their phone clearly, you have come to the right place. In this article, we’d be discussing two different things you can do, to make the text of an iPhone more readable. And here they are: increase iPhone font size and bolden.
Increase Your Font Size
Check out our guide to reduce your iPhone font size below.
Step 1: Locate and Open the Settings app
For anyone who’d like to improve the readability of things displayed on their iPhone, one of the things you can do, is to increase the font size of your phone’s text. But to do this, you first have to locate the Settings app on your phone. The Settings app is a very popular iPhone app, so you should have no problem locating it. And even if you’re new to iPhone, you should still be able to recognize the app when you see it.
When you see this Settings app, the next thing you’d be expected to do is to open the app, by tapping it. The app is not a heavy one, so it should be loaded almost instantly.
Step 2: Select the “Display & Brightness” option
Once the Settings app has been loaded, the interface you’d see would contain a long list of options. But of all items on this list, what you’re concerned about, is the option called “Display & Brightness”. This option is a thing you should find on your iPhone, with little regard to what version your iPhone is. And even if you can find it, it’s going to have a name similar to this.
Once, you’re able to locate this option, you are of course also expected to tap it.
Step 3: Tap “Text Size”
Tapping the “Display & Brightness” Option would cause a new interface to be loaded. You’d also find a good number of options on this interface. But what concerns you here, is the section called “Text Size”. The section, section called “Text Size” is where you get to increase or decrease the font size of an iPhone.
Step 4: Adjust the Slider, as appropriate
After tapping the “Text Size” option, a new interface would be loaded. And on this new interface, you’d find a slider that can be used to change the font size of your phone. You are expected to drag this slider to the left, to reduce the font size. But to increase the font size, you’d have to drag it to the right size. As you drag the slider, you’d see the font size of your phone decrease or increase. And when you find a suitable font size, you can stop moving the slider.
Enable Bold Text
There are times when increasing font size isn’t what you need. For instance, you may increase the font size of your phone, but still, be unable to see things clearly. And if this is a problem you’re facing, then it’s possible you just probably have to enable “Bold Text” on your phone. Good enough, enabling this isn’t difficult, so you should be able to do it yourself, by following these steps:
Step 1: Open the Settings app
Just like many things that have to do with phone settings, the first expected of you, is to open your phone’s Settings app. But if you’ve already opened it, ensure you’re on the home interface of the Settings app.
For those who don’t understand what is meant by the home interface, you can close the Settings app and reopen it.
Step 2: Get down to the Display & Text Size section
After opening the Settings app, the next thing needed to be done is to find your way to the section called “Display & Text Size”. This section can not be accessed directly from the home interface of the Settings app. So to find your way into this section, you first have to tap “Accessibility”, which can be found on the home interface of the Settings app.
Then from Accessibility, you should be able to find the Display & Text Size section.
Step 3: Turn on the Bold Text option
On the Display & Text Size interface, you’d find a bunch of things. But what matters to you, among everything on this interface, is the option called “Bold Text”.
So to enable bold text on your phone, you only have to tap this option.
