Let’s discuss how to set Google as a default search engine on Chrome browser both on mobile and on PC.
When you have more than one browser installed on your PC or smartphone, each of the browser will prompt you to set it as your default browser whenever you open them.
And you can only set one browser as your default or primary browser while others are secondary.
However, if you choose to set Google Chrome as your default browser, it requires digging deep if you ever cancel the notification once.
There is no universal way to set Google as the default search engine in a browser that will affect other browsers. The only thing is that Chrome will open links by default on your PC or Android whenever you click on a hyperlink.
However, to set a default search engine differs from setting a default browser to open links. You can set your default search engine to be Google.com, Yahoo.com, Ask.com, Bing.com, searchdog.com, DuckDuckGo.com, and many others.
It all depends on your preferred search engine. It’s not necessarily mean it should be Google. Since Google is the most popular search, then, you may want to set Google to be your default search engine.

What if I deleted Google and need to put it back in for my search engine?
WHAT IS THE URL NAME to add? For GOOGLE? I cannot find this anywhere….
Please answer how to fill this in
5. Fill the form accordingly and click on save button to make changes.
Type your country’s Google URL. Or better still, put the primary Google URL as https://google.com
There’s no google option available in the drop menu, and it won’t let me add it to default search engines. Also, whenever I try to change the URL of the search engine set (which was unwanted), it doesn’t let me. The URL box is all greyed out and I can’t click it. What do I do?
