a. If your E-ZPass account is in good standing and your transponder is properly mounted, the toll is deducted from your E-ZPass pre-paid account.

b. If your Registered Pay By Plate MA account is in good standing, an image of your license plate is taken and the toll is charged to your account.

3. If you do not have an E-ZPass or a Registered Pay By Plate MA account, an image of your license plate is taken and the registered owner of the vehicle is mailed a Pay By Plate MA invoice.

PaybyPlateMa Invoice Charges

For PaybyPlateMa invoice you will be charged $.60 per invoice. This simply means that if you are submitting 10 invoices using PaybyPlate Ma you will be prompted to pay ($.06 x 10 =$6).

However, if your license plate number isn’t listed on E-ZPass and other valid toll payment account your vehicle information will be obtained through another means which could be through vehicle license plate lookup.

Once the toll trip is created the involve will be mailed to the owner of the vehicle. This will help the organisation to generate future travel invoice insurance at the end of the month.

Pay by Plate Ma Prepaid Account Requirements

Registered prepaid account for Open PaybyPlateMa is good for travel on MassDOT toll roads. And here are the requirements.

• License Plate Number(s) – as listed on your vehicle registration.
• Vehicles – Make, model and year.
• Payment Information – Credit/Debit card or Banking information (for automatic replenishment only).

• Click “Pay by Plate Ma”.

• Enter your account number or Email address.

You will be taken to your PaybyPlateMa registered account that contains the information you provided.

Pay a Pay By Plate MA Invoice

Here is how to pay your “PaybyPlateMa” invoice(s) by check or money order.

• Go to EZDriveMa prepaid and postpaid portal”.
• Click “Pay a Pay By Plate MA Invoice”.
• Enter your invoice (s) number.
• Type your “License Plate”.
• Select “License Plate State”.
• Click “Login”.
• Go to pay the invoice (s).
• Follow the instruction on the screen to complete the payments.

Note: You will be charged an extra $0.6 per invoice you processed on MassDOT.
