Download and Install Activity Launcher

The first requirement is to download and install the activity launcher on your Android phone.

  1. Open the Google play store
  2. Type “Activity Launcher”
  3. Click on the “search” button
  4. Tap on “install”

Or update the activity launcher if it has been installed on your Android.

Enable RCS in Google Messaging

Here is what to do with the activity launcher to enable the RCS feature in Google messaging.

  1. Click on the “Activity Launcher”
  2. Select “All Activity” from the drop menu to the top left
  3. Scroll down and find the “Android Messages” option and then click on it
  4. Search through closely and click on Set RCS Flags (com.google.android.apps.messaging.ui.appsettings.rcs.overrides.OverrideFlagsActivity).
  5. Select ACS Url after the above line
  6. Navigate to ACS Url menu and paste the http://rcs-acs-prod-us.sandbox.google.com/
  7. Now, follow the Android messages set up to complete to turn on RCS in Google messaging on the device you selected.

  1. Clear your Carrier Services data
  2. Force to stop Android Messaging
  3. Repeat the step 1-4 above
  4. Select OTP Pattern from the options
  5. Click on “Your\sMessenger\sverification\scode\sis\sG-(\d{6})” in the menu
