1. The center button of your Nest thermostat is your menu button, press this to open the menu interface.
2. After the menu appears, use thermostat rim as a tuner and  scroll to the Mode icon.
3. Press the center button to select this mode.
4. In the next interface you will find, OFF.
5. Press the center button to select OFF.
6. After this, your thermostat will shut down till you turn it back ON (You can do this, by simply pressing the menu button.

How to Turn Off Nest via iPhone App

2. Log-in  to your Nest account.

How to Adjust the Nest’s Safety Temperatures

With the above being done, Nest has a Safety temperature feature that will allow it to turn back on whenever your room temperature drops below the usual, the default is 40 degrees, and this is to prevent the home from freezing if you have been away for a while. How to Set Nest thermostat to Hold Temperature

You can set your nest thermostat to hold Temperature if your nest thermostat generation supports it. Therefore, we will walk you through how to set a Nest thermostat to hold Temperature.

• Open the Google Home app on your smartphone.
• Select the “Nest Thermostat.”
• Turn your Thermostat to heat, cool, or head, depending on your choice.
• Select “Cool Mode” before you go ahead to hold the Temperature.
• Click on “Hold Temperature.”
• Set the current or preset Temperature you want your nest thermostat to hold.

How to Shut Down Nest Thermostat without App
