Since its big launch in 2010, Instagram’s user base has grown dramatically. Many services have been introduced over the past decade, but very few have managed to keep up with the clean, aesthetic look of Instagram.
Clean images and ease of use are the two most important aspects of the Instagram app. And while we’re mostly happy with how the service works, there are still some limitations that require a little work.
Today we’re taking a look at one of those little nuisances that made many users scratch their heads. Without further ado, let’s start by clearing your Instagram search history.
I think I speak for the vast majority of people with Instagram accounts when I say that there are few feelings worse than when someone unexpectedly sees your search history.
My stomach is spinning and my mind racing as I try to remember the last few people I spied while browsing the app.
It doesn’t matter whether someone leans over your shoulder to see you search for an Instagram account that they were both talking about, or borrow your phone to quickly find a profile yourself. These first Instagram IDs are displayed in the bar. . Searching is almost always embarrassing.
While I don’t have an answer on why (probably) we are all like this, I do have the answer on how to hide the fact that you are like this. All you have to do is destroy the evidence. Let us move to how to delete Instagram search history.

If you’ve had an Instagram account for a while, you probably know how many times three years ago you could have a random account on your feed without even knowing how you got there. Sometimes that’s fun about the app, but it’s also very important to be careful how you interact with it. This is why it helps to know how to clear your Instagram search history from time to time.
If you want to clear your Instagram search history or just want to see what you were originally looking for, you can open your Instagram app on your phone and switch to your profile. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to view a (probably very long) list of accounts that you’ve researched over time. You can delete individual searches or your entire search history.
Please note: once you have cleared your search history, you cannot cancel it. However, this doesn’t mean that accounts you’ve searched in the past will never show up as suggested results.
