Discover in this article how best you can download and install the Gravestone Mod in Minecraft and get it running with ease.
Gravestones are the main “components” of this mod that appear when the player dies. They keep all of your items (they can be changed in the settings), some information about your death and the number of days you lived.
There are different types of Gravestones. Each of them can be made from different materials. The type of tomb created is randomly selected, but its material is based on the biome and its height. There is also a 25% chance that one of your swords will be used as a Gravestone. When magically killed, your Gravestone will be enchanted.
A Gravestone can also be created when a villager/pet (dogs, cats, horses) dies. These graves contain a corpse of the dead creature (which can rise on the altar). Also, these graves will have special models (dog/cat/horse statue).
To collect items, you need to destroy a grave or click on it with a shovel in hand (in this case, the grave will not be destroyed).
Gravestones can be picked up and placed anywhere, but only in “excavate” blocks (can be changed in the settings). However, all information is only recorded when a Gravestone is collected with a silk pick.
Some headstones can have flowers. This function was developed for decorative purposes only. Just click on a Gravestone with a flower in hand and it will be placed. To remove it, click again with scissors.
Another standout feature of Gravestones is a mob that appears at night and with thunder, but only when a player is within 35 blocks of a grave and there is no near light source. Most of the creatures that appear are zombies and skeletons (with a bow or stone sword), but in some cases they can spawn a withered skeleton or zombie pig. Pet Gravestone can spawn cats, dogs, and zombie skeletons. If you’ve installed a “Mo’creatures” mod, some of their creatures will appear in graves as well (“Silver Skeleton”, “Ghost” and “Ghost of Flame”).
The next weather-dependent function at night is fog. Each grave creates fog around it at night, its density depends on the number of graves.
What is Gravestone in Minecraft?
Gravestone Mod 1.12.2 / 1.11.2 adds a Gravestone to the game that “appears” when the player/villager/dog/cat dies. This mod also creates cemeteries and “wither catacombs” in some villages. It’s a huge new structure, like a fortress, where you can end up with lots of loot, dangerous adventures and a wither boss.
