- Email.
With Facebook Messenger, you will be able to communicate with your prospective employees via the Facebook page. While the second option, email enables you to send messages directly to your job applicant’s email address for further discussion.
How to Post a Job on Facebook without a Business Page on Desktop
To post a job on Facebook you need to provide your business name but in case you do not have a business name you will have to post the job on your Facebook job page like your name. That is, you need to select your name as the poster instead of using a business name.
- Open a web browser and go to www.facebook.com and sign in to your Facebook account.
- Select “Jobs” under your Facebook Profile to the left of the page.
- Scroll down to “Hiring” >> Application >> Create Job.
- Under “Create Job” select your name from the drop menu if it doesn’t show your Facebook name as the poster.
- Input your name as the business name.
- Provide the “Job” information such as “Job title,” salary, working hours, etc., and click on the “Next” button below.
- The job preview will show on the right screen of the page. Once every information has been submitted click on the “Submit” button to post the job
- Done.
The job might not be gaining traction instantly, but after a couple of hours, you should be able to see the job stats. And the job will be deleted automatically after 30 days whether the job advert is performing or not.
How to Post a Job on Facebook without a Business Name on App
The process to post a job on Facebook without a business name on the Facebook app is similar to the steps we discussed above on the official Facebook webpage. However, this requires you to have the latest Facebook mobile app installed on your Android or iOS device.
With that being said, we will discuss how to post a job on Facebook without a business name using the official Facebook mobile app.
- Launch the Facebook app on jour Android or iOS and sign in to your Facebook account.
- Select the hamburger (three horizontal lines) to the top right.
- Tap on the “Jobs” bag.
- Check through the navigation and click on “Create Job.”
- Select your Facebook name in posted by drop menu.
- Type your profile name as your Facebook business name.
- Fill in other information such as the job description (not more than 5,000 words ), salary type (per hour or a day or per week or bi-monthly or per month or year or one time), job type (full-time or per-time).
- Click on the “post” icon to the top left to post your job on Facebook.
If all things are equal, you should start seeing tractions from your prospective employees, and from there you can communicate with them via email or phone call.
How to Close Facebook Job
Facebook automatically deletes the job you posted on Facebook after 30 days whether the post is performing or not. However, you can also close the job before then if you are done with the recruitment process or you have gathered enough applicants for the job interview. Therefore, I am going to walk you through how to close a Facebook job before the job is closed for you by Facebook.
Mobile
To close or delete a Facebook job on mobile devices such as Android and iOS (iPhone) follow the steps below.
- Open the Facebook app on your Android or iOS (iPhone & iPad).
- Click on the three horizontal lines to the top right.
- Select “Jobs” from the options available.
- Click on “Manage” from the “Jobs” navigation.
- In the “Manage Jobs” interface select “Job Posts.”
- Click on your “Opened Job” to manage it.
- Under the total number of applicants select “Close Job.”
- Done.
A pop-up will appear asking whether you have successfully hired someone through Facebook. Select “yes” or “no” from the pop-up and choose “submit” to give your honest feedback.
Desktop
- Go to web.facebook.com on your web browser.
- Select “Jobs” on the left panel.
- Click on the name of the job you want to close or delete.
- Navigate the “Manage Job” section and select the “Delete this Job” trash can icon.
- A pop-up will appear asking you whether you want to delete the job.
- Click on “Delete” to delete the “Job” or “Cancel” to keep the job.
- Done.
The job will be deleted and your potential employees will no longer see the job advert.
