Cloud Deployment: Hybrid, Public and Private Cloud

A cloud deployment is a specific environment where servers, networking, databases, storage, server software, and server activities (analytics) are managed. A cloud deployment model is distinguished based on asses, ownership right, and size and are mainly divided into three types: Private cloud deployment, public or community cloud deployment, and public deployment.

As an IT-infrastructure or a web developer or a programmer, choosing an environment depends on the size, right, access, and management of your cloud environment. However, a cloud environment model for an IT-infrastructure is different from a cloud environment for a programmer as well as for an internet user. However, the combination of two or more cloud environment offers more convenience for users.

Cloud Deployment Model

Type of Cloud Deployment

The three types of cloud deployment environment are not the same. They offer different services and different privileges.

1. Private Cloud

2. Public Cloud or Community Cloud

3. Hybrid Cloud

Some IT-infrastructure classified private cloud as the same as public cloud. Meanwhile, they are the same. Azure classified both community and public to be the same type of cloud model service.

Private Cloud

A cloud model is said to be private if it is operated by a single individual or by an organization. A private cloud could be located at users end or at the cloud provider on-site datacenter. However, some private cloud owner or organization pays a third-party company to host their private cloud for them.

In a simple term, a private cloud is a cloud deployment model in which the whole cloud service, networking, analytics and others are managed and control by a private individual or an organization.

However, if you are contemplating whether to choose private cloud over a public cloud, here are the core benefits of private cloud to consider: Benefits of Private Cloud

Public Cloud

A public cloud is different from a private cloud in almost all form and it offers a less convenience and service compared a private cloud. Unlike private cloud, public cloud models are owned and operated by a third-party and deliver all computed resource into their server over the internet.

In public cloud model, a cloud provider stands as a dictatorship where all software, hardware, and IT-infrastructure are managed by the cloud provider.

Hybrid Cloud

A hybrid cloud model is a combination of private and public cloud model to give a more resilience service. A hybrid cloud combines the service of both private and public or community cloud service together and enables data sharing between the two models.

Hybrid cloud model makes cloud model give more flexible service to switch between private cloud and public service. The benefits of hybrid cloud computing involve offloading private cloud workload to the public to maintain a steady service deployment.

The hybrid cloud deployment model poses more benefits over the public and private model.  Do you prefer private or public cloud model? Or do you prefer a hybrid for a business greater flexibility and cloud deployment option.
